The NARM®-Informed Professional Training (formerly NARM® Basics Training) is a live in-person or online training offered to a range of helping professionals, predominantly attended by mental health professionals and coaches. This psychoeducational training is designed to support professionals working with populations that experience the effects of developmental or complex trauma, and provides in-depth information on the NeuroAffective Relational Model®. Those that have participated in the NARM-Informed Professional training include mental health professionals, coaches, substance abuse and addiction counselors, doctors, nurses, legal professionals, first responders, educators, spiritual and religious workers, among others. This 60 hour training is typically completed in 4-9 months. Graduates of this training can complete additional consultation hours to become NARM-Informed Professionals and be listed on the NARM Practitioner Directory.

NARM® Therapist Training is a live, in-person and/or virtual training program designed for licensed mental health professionals, current mental health graduate students, and active clinical interns/trainees, or international equivalent. Others who are legally permitted to practice psychotherapy (e.g., doctors or psychiatric nurses) may also apply. This clinical training is designed to train mental health professionals in addressing the long-term impacts of ACEs and C-PTSD, and support integration of NARM therapy into their clinical practice. The training consists of 120 hours of training content and is typically completed in 1-2 years. Graduates of this training can complete additional programming and apply to become NARM Therapists and be listed on the NARM Practitioner Directory.

The NARM® Master Therapist Training is an advanced clinical program developed by Dr. Laurence Heller for experienced NARM® practitioners who want to deepen their understanding and further their work with complex and developmental trauma. This training focuses on the subtle interplay between identity, embodiment, and relationship. The training includes three consecutive themes: working with complex, relational, and early preverbal trauma; borderline personality disorder (BPD); and narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). The completion of NARM Therapist Training is required for enrollment to the NARM Master Therapist Training.

The NARM® Post-Masters Immersion Training is an ongoing clinical study group where NARM Master Therapist Training graduates come together to continue to deepen and refine their understanding and clinical application of the NeuroAffective Relational Model. This study group meets six times a year and the learning is designed to be ongoing. Those interested in serving as mentors and teachers in NARM can also pair the Post-Masters Training with additional peer- and teacher-guided programming to receive the NARM Post-Masters Fellow Certificate.

The NARM® Inner Circle Membership is an ongoing online program open to all, with a focus on mental health and other helping professionals. Whether you’re a current NARM student, a seasoned practitioner, or completely new to NARM, the Inner Circle is designed to enhance your understanding of NARM and complex trauma, support your understanding of the model and foster your connections within the growing NARM community worldwide. The program includes rolling basis admissions, and provides monthly NARM demonstration and deconstructions with experienced NARM Teachers, as well as monthly NARM-themed webinars.
