A podcast brought to you by the NARM® Training Institute
In this year-end episode, Transforming Trauma host Emily Ruth and NARM Senior Trainer Brad Kammer reflect on the year and revisit some memorable and favorite moments of Transforming Trauma in 2022. Brad acknowledges and appreciates Emily’s first year as the podcast host and asks her to share about her experiences, and how she’s been impacted by those that she connected with. Brad also reflects about his conversations with guests and how he’s been impacted by these incredible people. Together, they express gratitude for this opportunity to connect with so many diverse individuals, with various perspectives, all committed to healing trauma.
They reflect on some of the “big names” in the field they had on this year, such as Dr. Stephen Porges, Daniel Shaw, Dr. Sandra Bloom, Dr. David Wallin, and Dr. Nancy McWilliams, Additionally, they reflect on the episode with Judge Abby Abinati who spoke so powerfully about trauma-informed work in indigenous communities, and her work supporting community-based and trauma-informed Tribal Court.
They also reflect on members of the NARM Community doing incredible work, including Dr. Jennifer Vasquez who shared her doctoral dissertation, Meaning Making: Understanding Professional Quality of Life for NARM Trained Trauma Therapists, and Isaac Samuelson who shared about the joy of a Queer identity. Brad also reflected on how meaningful it was to talk with one his students, Bill Lokey, who is moving into his last phase of life, in the episode Authenticity, Freedom and Living more Intentionally.
Emily reflects on how many listeners were moved by the episode with Dr. Laurence Heller and Brad on NARM and Intergenerational Love, which also provided a sneak peek of the NARM Inner Circle Online Membership Program.
Lastly, they share a big thank you to all our guests and our over 200,000 listeners who made Transforming Trauma one of the top podcasts of 2022.
